At night two of WWE‘s WrestleMania 36, Edge defeated Randy Orton in a last man standing match.

The match marked Edge’s first one-on-one match in nine years, having last competed when he defeated Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania 27 in a world heavyweight championship match.

Here’s a recap and highlights of the match:

Orton got a cheap shot on Edge before the match. With Orton’s entrance music playing and Edge waiting in the ring, Orton, disguised as a ringside cameraman, came from behind with an RKO.

After the referee confirmed Edge was good to compete and rang the bell, Orton delivered another RKO. With Edge just making it back to his feet with a nine-count. Orton sent Edge over the barricade with a shot with the camera from before, but Edge got to his feet again.

The two then began to fight over the WWE Performance Center. Orton knocked Edge down by ramming him into a table before the two made their way over to the weights. Orton then used a pulley to assist in assaulting Edge.

Orton attempted to attack Edge with a weight, but Edge countered by using a bar to deliver a flying kick to Orton.

Edge then put Orton in a chair and rained down some punches before using a pull-up bar to deliver a Lou Thesz Press.

The two soon made their way into the production area, with Edge ramming Orton into a wall, before they came ou to a side portion of the WrestleMania set. Orton sent Edge neck-first into the crowd barricade, but Edge used the barricade to get up at the count of nine.

The two went over to a hallway in the Performance Center before going into an office area of the Performance Center, more specifically a conference room. After making their way through office chairs, Edge rammed Orton into a picture of The Revival, resulting in another nine count.

Edge sent Orton across the conference table before Edge used the room’s roof to deliver an elbow drop.

After they inadvertently took out a cameraman, the two then moved the action into an equipment/storage room, brawling around stairs and boxes. They then proceeded to an area that appears to be for promos and interviews.

Edge, on a ladder, delivered an elbow drop through Orton, placed on a table, but both men got up before the 10 count.

The two moved towards vehicles, with Orton delivering his signature raised DDT to Edge on a pickup truck. When a 10 count was avoided, Edge crawled up to the top of an NXT production truck. Orton went for a punt kick, but Edge countered with a spear.

Each man made it back to their feet, and Edge went for another spear, but Orton countered with an RKO, which Edge barely was able to beat.

Orton brought a pair of chairs up to the top of the production truck, landing one on Edge’s back before setting Edge up for the con-chair-to. As Orton raised up his arms to land the shot, Edge shot up and put a standing arm-triangle on Orton, choking him unconscious.

Edge, completely emotional, landed a con-chair-to and scored a 10 count for the win.
