There are more teams than you think who can win a Super Bowl each year. Here are five NFL teams who could shock the world and pull it off in 2020.

Every year, roughly half the teams in the NFL have a realistic shot at winning the Super Bowl. Yes, you have your eight teams who enter the campaign as obvious contenders, but there are those who if everything hits right for them, they can get to a conference championship game. By getting to the conference title bout, you’re essentially on the doorstep of hoisting a Lombardi Trophy.

This year in the AFC, you have behemoths like the Baltimore Ravens and the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. They’ll be in the mix to get down to Tampa in February. As for the NFC, there are a few more teams, but clubs like the Green Bay Packers, the New Orleans Saints and the San Francisco 49ers could totally get to Raymond James Stadium as well.

But that’s not who we’re talking about today. These teams are for lack of a better designation, dark horse contenders. If they were playoff teams next year, would it shock anybody? Not really, and in some cases, they could even win their respective divisions. But to do the improbable and win a Super Bowl in the process, that could be a little farfetched. However, it is possible for them.

Here are five teams who could shock the world and win Super Bowl 55 in Tampa in February.

5. 46. Scouting Report. AFC. South. Indianapolis Colts. player. Pick Analysis

There’s a lot to like about the Indianapolis Colts this year. They have great unity from ownership all the way down to head coach. General manager Chris Ballard has assembled a ton of talent these last few drafts and we believe Frank Reich will become a phenomenal coach in this league. The Colts play in a very winnable AFC, but how will Philip Rivers do as their starting quarterback?

Even though he struggled last year, Rivers had great seasons playing in Reich’s offensive system from their time with the then-San Diego Chargers. Rivers is still technically on the good side of 40, so that’s a plus. He also will provide the offense some much-needed energy. After Andrew Luck abruptly retired in the preseason, can you really blame the Colts for all that happened last year?

If the defense plays up to its ability, defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus might garner some attention as a future NFL head coach. If Rivers can ever get back to the AFC Championship game, he’s not going to let it play out like it did last time. He should be thrilled the New England Patriots are no longer a threat in the conference. Plus, what team should scare him in the AFC South?

The Colts’ most formidable challenger has to be the Tennessee Titans. However, the Titans are coming off an improbable run to the AFC Championship game. They’re poised for a slight letdown, and they haven’t won the AFC South since Jeff Fisher was their head coach. If the Colts clean up in the AFC South and get a top-three seed in the conference, they’ll have a fighting chance in 2020.
