1. The Steelers will win the AFC North

Everything went right for the Ravens in their march to an AFC North title last season. Conversely, everything went wrong for a Steelers team that finished 8-8. It’s easy to see both teams returning to something closer to the mean in 2020.

If and when that happens, the Steelers are in a great position to put real pressure on the Ravens. Roethlisberger’s return to the field should allow Pittsburgh to field a top 10 offense. Combine that with what could be a top five defense and it’s easy to see how Tomlin’s team can emerge as legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Their head-to-head matchups with the Ravens should be some of the most entertaining games of the regular season. The Steelers happen to be a terrific matchup with their rivals in Baltimore. Their multiple looks along their defensive front are tailor-made to give Lamar Jackson fits.

Next. Dolphins need to trade up if they want to draft Tua. dark

The Steelers might need a stroke of luck or two to knock the Ravens off their perch, but the two rosters aren’t separated by much in terms of talent. Pittsburgh will begin the 2020 season as significant underdogs, but that’s just the sort of attitude Tomlin wants his teams to display on a weekly basis.

Don’t bet against the Steelers riding that sort of “us against the world” mentality all the way to an AFC North title.
