Washington Redskins Fourth Round Picks

Purdue. 108. Brycen Hopkins. player. 848. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. TE

The Washington Redskins have four tight ends on the roster, but none of them jump off the charts with their talents. Jeremy Sprinkle leads the way, followed by Richard Rogers, Logan Thomas, and Hale Hentges. Purdue Boilermakers product Brycen Hopkins could step in and start over all of those options for Washington.

While this year’s TE draft class is underwhelming, but with the right team there are fits. Hopkins’ hands are questionable at this point, although the right coach could help him improve in that area. He has the athleticism and talent to create separation and find open space. Hopkins didn’t start playing football until high school, so a team could likely dig out even more potential from the tight end. He is the son of former Titans offensive lineman Brad Hopkins, and that athletic bloodline gives him a bit of an upper hand.

Scouting Report. Temple. Harrison Hand. player. Pick Analysis. CB. 142. 885

Harrison Hand is viewed as a big outside cornerback with some room for development. He lacks speed and burst to keep up with speedy NFL wide receivers, but his play recognition abilities mean he can stay in the game. Hand will likely need to prove himself as a special teams player in order to stick on a roster as a backup cornerback.
