Dallas Cowboys full 2020 NFL mock draft
Fourth Round
After spending their first three picks on offense it’s time for Dallas to grab a wide receiver. The outside spots are spoken for with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, so a slot wide receiver has to be the choice here.
One of the more intriguing names on the board for that spot is Kalija Lipscomb out of Vanderbilt. As a junior, Lipscomb averaged 10.5 yards per catch, but he struggled in a new offensive scheme during his senior year.
The Commodores deployed Lipscomb both outside and in the slot, but scouts believe his best immediate fit is in the slot. Lipscomb has average burst out of a break, which is problematic for beating outside corners, but his skill set applies well to working in the slot.
Dak Prescott will love having a long-armed receiver with great hands over the middle like Lipscomb, who should step right into Randall Cobb’s shoes at that position. The Cowboys don’t have to rely on Lipscomb to be a go-to-guy for Prescott right away, allowing him to grow into the offense.
This class of receivers is simply too good for Dallas to walk away from it without taking one. Lipscomb is a great value for the Cowboys at this point in the draft.
