This Walking Dead season 10 won’t air its season finale on AMC tonight, April 12. Here’s all the information you need on when TWD will be back.
The tenth season of The Walking Dead has been one of the most talked-about of the AMC hit drama in recent years and the last iteration was by far the year’s best. Many were expecting to see the final episode air at its regularly scheduled time on Sunday, April 12. Unfortunately, that will not be the case.
Many shows have been affected by the coronavirus shutdown, and the popular zombie program isn’t immune from this global pandemic. The show announced back in March in a Tweet to fans that the necessary post-production needed to complete season 10’s final chapter was delayed.

The 15th episode of the latest season that released Sunday, April 5, titled “The Tower,” which introduced the Princess character from the comics, served as the finale. The actual final installment will air sometime later this year as a special episode.
The season 10 finale isn’t the only aspect of The Walking Dead affected by the restrictions fighting COVID-19. Production on season 11 has been postponed as well as the production of season 6 of the spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead. The Walking Dead: A World Beyond, a brand new spinoff which was set to debut in April, has also been punished back.
The Walking Dead franchise will return, it’s just a matter of when. In the meantime, AMC knows this news is not ideal, but have made accommodations to soften the blow for fans. Everyone can revisit the first eight exciting episodes of the tenth season of The Walking Dead for free on AMC.com and the AMC app until May 1.
