5th round

LB. Hurricanes . Shaquille Quarterman. 163. player. 834.

Ron Rivera brought in familiar face Thomas Davis to help at linebacker but Davis is entering his age-37 season. For help at inside linebacker, Washington turns to former Miami Hurricane Shaquille Quarterman in round five.

Quarterman started all four seasons on campus at Miami and finished his career with over 350 tackles. His instincts and physicality would be an excellent addition for Jack Del Rio’s defense.

6th round – No selections

7th round

Wolverines . Khaleke Hudson. 217. player. 811. . LB

More depth for Washington at linebacker in round seven with Michigan’s Khaleke Hudson.

Hudson’s athletic profile was so unique that the Wolverines essentially created a hybrid linebacker/safety position in order to get him on the field. He shines with his explosiveness and tackling ability that should make him an early asset on special teams.

Trading Quintin Dunbar to Seattle leaves some space in the Washington secondary on Day 3. Air Force’s Zane Lewis fits the mold of a tall, lengthy outside cornerback that Rivera has typically loved adding to his defenses in the past.
