1. Al-Farouq Aminu — Orlando Magic

Al-Farouq Aminu has only appeared in 18 games during his first season in Orlando, all of which occurred prior to tearing the meniscus in his right knee in late November. Aminu originally decided to forego surgery and focus on rehabilitation; however, the big man ultimately went under the knife in January after the conservative approach failed. The surgery, which was to repair the meniscus rather than cut it out (which is known as a meniscectomy and has a shorter recovery timeline) would have sidelined him for at least 12 weeks had the league not been suspended.

Aminu wasn’t overly effective prior to his injury, but the Magic could use all the defensive ability they can find. Orlando would face the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round and could throw Aminu at reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in an attempt to slow him down. Would Aminu be able to do that? Unlikely — no one can, really — but he would maybe be the Magic’s best shot.
