Philadelphia Eagles 2020 mock draft: Full 7 rounds
By Conor Dorney
2nd round
The Eagles have been looking at a number of guard/center prospects during the pre-draft process, but one to watch in particular is Michigan’s Cesar Ruiz.
Ruiz has been mocked by some in the first round and very well could require a trade up to get him near the top of the second. Philadelphia is pretty set at center with Jason Kelce but may see Ruiz as an upgrade over Isaac Seumalo at guard.
The former Wolverine is an excellent athlete for his size and plays with a nasty on-field demeanor that most offensive line coaches would love to get into their team’s building.
In addition to his upside, Ruiz is also one of the youngest players in the class at just 20 years old. Getting a moldable, young talent on the offensive line may be too difficult for general manager Howie Roseman to pass up.
If Ruiz is off the board earlier than expected, look for names like LSU’s Lloyd Cushenberry III and Texas A&M’s Justin Madubuike at this spot.
