3rd round

Linebacker is another of the Eagles’ most pressing needs but the club hasn’t selected a linebacker in the first two rounds of the draft since Marcus Smith in 2014.

There are several mid-round targets that Philadelphia could consider, but perhaps the best fit is Wyoming’s Logan Wilson.

Wilson was a tackling machine in college and four straight seasons of 90-plus tackles to show for it. While you may think those numbers indicate a sluggish thumper in the middle, Wilson is in fact the opposite. He began his career as a safety before switching to the second level of the defense and his coverage skills shine bright on tape.

Wilson understands spacing and anticipates routes better than almost any linebacker in the class, which could be a big reason he would appeal to the Eagles.
