Denver Broncos star Von Miller has tested positive for COVID-19. He is the second known case of an NFL player testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
Ian Rapoport reported Thursday Denver Broncos All-Pro linebacker Von Miller has tested positive for the pandemic-inducing virus COVID-19:
NFL star and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller has a confirmed case of COVID-19, his agent @JobyBranion of @VanguardSG tells me. The #Broncos star is at home resting and in good spirits. He plans to speak publicly tomorrow.

Miller’s positive test revelation comes just one day after Fox NFL’s Jay Glazer reported that Las Angeles Rams center Brian Allen had become the first known player to test positive for the virus.
Miller and Allen become the first two known cases of contraction from NFL players. The novel coronavirus has essentially shut down the United States for the last month and has seen most states implement and extend state at home orders, and self-quarantine guidelines, through the end of April and into May.
It has already canceled, delayed, suspended or postponed sports and delayed the Tokyo Olympics and turned the NFL Draft into a virtual draft.
The NFL has had conversations about how to approach the 2020 NFL offseason, and regular season, in light of the global pandemic. Those plans could include eliminating all offseason workouts at team facilities, shortening the regular season, and/or playing games without fans in the stadiums while quarantining players for the year.
As Rapoport reported, Miller is planning to speak with reporters on Friday. The three-time All-Pro is reportedly at home and in good spirits. Rapoport later purported that the Broncos are aware of the situation surrounding their star pass rusher.
NFL media and fans wished Miller a quick recovery and support as he recovers from the virus.
Von Miller went to see the team doctors after feeling sick recently and then was diagnosed with COVID-19 I’m told. Miller has had asthma his entire life. Wishing him all the best to get healthy. pic.twitter.com/C8C2DFbj8r

Always concerned and praying for anyone who has contracted coronavirus. With #Broncos @VonMiller, he has battled asthma and allergies since he was a kid. This is something to consider as he navigates this illness. Praying for him to recovery quickly. #Denver7
