6. Tyrann Mathieu

Like Clark, Mathieu was another offseason target for the Chiefs as they looked to remake their defense.

The “Honey Badger” instantly became one of the most popular players on the team among Chiefs fans. Like Clark, Mathieu brought a swagger and intensity to a defense that had no edge in 2018. Playing alongside standout rookie Juan Thornhill, Mathieu helped improve a Chiefs secondary that couldn’t stop a nosebleed a year earlier.

Mathieu turned in 75 tackles in the regular season to go along with two sacks, four interceptions and 12 passes defended. At 27 years old, Mathieu could be contributing to multiple Chiefs championships.
