9. Kentucky Wildcats

When Kentucky doesn’t try and get too creative with their look they have some of the best uniforms out there and this year was one of those years when they looked great. The only small complaint I would have is the weird spot they have the triangle cutout on their shorts but that isn’t that big of a deal.

The best part of this uniform is the checkerboard stripe running down the whole jersey. Stripes of any sort as we have pointed out are so much better when it is on both the jersey and the shorts. It makes it look more uniforms and better to look at.

The jersey has the stripe at the collar but not on the arms, but because of the checkerboard running up the side, it is actually better to not have one there. The font is simple and isn’t outlined which for this jersey is ok. The blue jersey is the same but with the colors flipped.

The shorts have the classic UK logo on the left leg and it looks like it belongs there. We have talked about how sometimes it can look crowded with a logo, but this one works. The waistline is the same color but it has a UK logo on the belt buckle which is a nice touch.

Overall this is a great uniform and Kentucky like some to follow do a good job of sticking with their official colors. They mess with it every once in a while but for the most part, they stick with what works and this uniform set is great.
