1. At Baltimore Ravens

The most important game on Kansas City’s 2020 schedule may end up being the most significant game in the AFC this season. The Chiefs’ matchup with the Baltimore Ravens will likely determine who wins home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, which is massive since only that team will get a first-round bye in the new postseason structure.

These two teams met early in 2019, with Kansas City scoring a home victory over the Ravens in Week 3. That was one of only two games Baltimore would drop in the regular season, but it does offer significant motivation for Lamar Jackson to win it.

Jackson has struggled against the Chiefs in his young career, going 0-2 against them and completing just 52.2 percent of his passes in those games. It is fair to mention that both of those contests came at Arrowhead Stadium, which is significant since the venue is shifting to Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium in 2020.

The Ravens are a formidable home opponent, losing only one home game during the regular season before falling to the Titans in the playoffs. The atmosphere inside M&T Bank Stadium will be electric in what should be a prime-time affair for AFC supremacy.

If the Chiefs don’t find a way to win this game, they will almost certainly have to go back to Baltimore in the playoffs if they want to return to the Super Bowl. That won’t be easy, so finding a way to win in the regular season is the most important thing Kansas City will have to do in 2020.
