Away: Las Vegas Raiders

Just like the Broncos, the Las Vegas Raiders present another divisional hurdle that head coach Anthony Lynn has to figure out. Of the four worst offensive performances in terms of total yards in 2019 for the Chargers, two of them came against the Raiders, which means Jon Gruden’s defensive coordinator Paul Guenther has some things figured out when facing the Bolts.

The arrivals of Nick Kwiatkowski, Cory Littleton, Carl Nassib, Eli Apple, and Maliek Collins plus whatever the draft brings will only further help the Raiders defense stymie the Chargers offensive attack—now without Melvin Gordon. So much of what the Chargers can do offensively obviously hangs on who is under center, but if it’s a rookie/Tyrod Taylor mix, it’ll take a new level of game planning in order for the Chargers to reverse course and beat back the Raiders both at home and on the road.
