4. WR Bisi Johnson

A seventh-round pick in 2019 out of Colorado State, Johnson became the Vikings’ No. 3 wide receiver last year. He wound up playing just under 53 percent of the team’s offensive snaps, with 31 receptions (on 45 targets) for 294 yards and three touchdowns.

In games he played over half the snaps, here’s what Johnson did last year:

  • Week 4: four receptions for 35 yards — 58 percent of snaps
  • Week 7: four receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown — 71 percent of the snaps
  • Week 8: two receptions for 27 yards — 74 percent of the snaps
  • Week 9: one catch for four yards and a touchdown — 83 percent of the snaps
  • Week 10: two receptions for 25 yards — 71 percent of the snaps
  • Week 11: six receptions for 35 yards — 81 percent of the snaps
  • Week 13: one catch for one yard — 56 percent of the snaps
  • Week 14: one catch for nine yards and a touchdown — 71 percent of the snaps
  • Week 17: three receptions for 34 yards — 73 percent of the snaps

Adam Thielen missing time with a hamstring issue and a meaningless Week 17 are important bits of context here, and a run-focused offense limited Johnson’s production.

The Vikings seem certain to draft a wide receiver or two, which would push Johnson down the pecking order. But as of right now, he’s the No. 2 wide receiver in the wake of the Stefon Diggs trade, and any sort of greater opportunity could foster a breakout.
