The first round of the 2020 NFL Draft is in the book and there were five teams who came away with some big NFL Draft steals, especially the Cowboys.

First round picks are some of the most valuable commodities in the NFL. That makes hitting on picks made on Day One vital for any team looking to achieve long-term success. The General Managers who made these five picks should feel particularly good about the work they did in the 2020 NFL Draft.

5. Justin Jefferson, Vikings

The Vikings got a break when the Eagles reached for Jalen Reagor at No. 21. It allowed Justin Jefferson to fall down to them at the next spot in the draft.

Jefferson is a much more polished receiver than Reagor. He also has above-average athleticism for the position. His ability to run away from opposing defenders was a huge reason Joe Burrow had such a historic season for LSU in 2019.

Losing Stefon Diggs is going to hurt the Minnesota offense, but replacing him with Jefferson is going to take a lot of the sting out of Diggs’ departure. Jefferson can combine with Adam Thielen to make one of the more intriguing receiver duos in the NFL.

Jefferson has a chance to be the most productive rookie wideout in this class. That’s going to make the Vikings’ front office look very good when pundits look back at this year’s draft.
