4. Jacob Eason

Eason enjoys the distinction of being the best quarterback available heading into Day Two. That makes him a prime candidate to be the target of a team trying to move up in the second round.

Admittedly, Eason is a high variance prospect. The former Washington star has an absolute cannon for an arm. When he is given a clean pocket he throws one of the best balls in this year’s draft class.

The trouble with Eason is that he isn’t very athletic. He’s a pocket quarterback to a fault. That makes him a bit of a throwback in the modern game. Eason will need to be protected by a top-notch offensive line to enjoy success at the next level.

Of course, if Eason were capable of making plays on the edge with his feet then he would’ve challenged Joe Burrow to be the No. 1 overall selection. An offensive-minded coach is going to trust his ability to build an effective scheme on the back of Eason’s arm talent. That gives him a chance to grow into a Pro Bowler in a few years.
