Best Pick

817. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. S. Grant Delpit. 44. LSU Tigers. player

To end up with the Jim Thorpe Award winner from an undefeated national championship team would be incredible for any football team in any draft. For this guy to fall to you in the second round even after you move back three spots showcase the magnificent job Browns general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski had in their first draft together.

Grant Delpit may never be the player he was at LSU, but you always want to take a chance on a former star out of DBU. He’ll play with a chip on his shoulder after plummeting 30 spots from where he probably would have gone at the start of last season. Gaining another pick in Washington Huskies center Nick Harris makes this move back for Cleveland an even better one.

Worst Pick

Scouting Report. TE. Harrison Bryant. 115. player. 53. Pick Analysis. Florida Atlantic Owls

Overall, this was a really strong first draft for the new Cleveland partnership in Berry and Stefanski. Taking a John Mackey Award winner in the top part of the fourth round in Harrison Bryant would normally feel like a good move, but the Browns already have two solid tight ends on their roster in Austin Hooper and David Njoku. There is only one football Baker Mayfield can throw.

Odds are Bryant will be the No. 2 tight end in this Browns offense behind their top free-agent prize Hooper. This draft pick must signify Njoku will be traded at some point before the start of this offseason. Or it could also mean that the Browns don’t believe Bryant it ready to contribute as a rookie. Though he was incredible at Florida Atlantic, this is the definition of a luxury draft pick.
