Los Angeles Rams

Recently, the Rams had gone and pawned off nearly every first-round pick they have had. So, no surprise the team was without one yet again this draft.

Even without a first-round pick, Sean McVay and Les Snead found talent on Day 2 with four picks.

Cam Akers was taken as the Todd Gurley replacement and Snead drafted for the defense. Specifically, in a boom-or-bust player named Terrell Lewis. Lewis can become a dominant edge rusher if he can prove he is healthy enough.

The Rams are in a weird place roster wise. Once they were pegged as Super Bowl contenders. Now, they seem to have taken a step back. Either way, they brought in a lot of youth for 2020.

Grade: B+

Detriot Lions

Matt Patricia used the team’s third-overall pick on Jeff Okudah from Ohio State. After the team moved on from Darius Slay, they needed to fill a cornerback spot.

Okudah is a physical corner who can make plays on the outside. Patricia knows how to work with corners, as he worked with Stephon Gilmore in New England.

The Lions did a little bit of everything. Adding offensive line depth, selected players for the front seven, and drafted D’Andre Swift from Georgia.

Kerryon Johnson has not been able to stay on the field, so Swift is a nice insurance plan.

Grade: B
