Chan Ho Park

My favorite Chan Ho Park highlight is when he tried to kick Tim Belcher in a brawl and then got rocked with a bunch of right hands.

Anyway, this guy actually was a Yankee in 2010. He’s best known for being a Dodger, and a pretty good one at that. He owned a respectable 3.77 ERA in his nine years with the Dodgers. But in his final five years, he played for six different franchises — the Padres, Mets (one game), Dodgers, Phillies, Yankees and Pirates.

That’s a lot of moving around, but his time with the Yankees was probably the worst stint of them all.

Okay, I lied. He allowed seven earned runs in his four innings with the Mets — that’s a 15.75 ERA. His stint with the Yankees was the second-worst in that five-year stretch.

But in his 27 appearances with the Yankees, his ERA rose to 5.60. Who else remembers when he blamed a poor outing on diarrhea?

While Chan Ho Park never had any sort of Hall of Fame case, his tenure with the Yankees was definitely pretty … crappy. He was designated for assignment on July 31 of that year and wrapped up his career in Pittsburgh.
