3. Home: Arizona Cardinals

Much like the game against the Bears, the Giants lost a very winnable game against the Cardinals last season as well. In the last five meetings, the Giants have won one game against this opponent.

Kyler Murray barely factored into this game. Instead, the Cardinals rode the rushing attack led by Chase Edmonds and his 126 rushing yards and three scores. Murray was just 14-of-21 with 104 passing yards.

Jones was sacked eight times and turned the ball over three times with two fumbles lost and one interception. Losing the turnover battled was the difference in this game, even with all the heat Jones endured from the opposition’s pass rush.

This year the Cardinals will be a different team. How? The addition of DeAndre Hopkins. This will be a huge test for a defense with quite a bit of inexperienced players.

Execution was the difference in last year’s game. Protecting the ball, converting on third down, and taking advantage of opportunities are the reasons the Cardinals won. Meaning, the Giants let it get away from them.

Judge is a Belichick guy, and execution is Belichick’s calling card. With a much more disciplined team in 2020, Judge must win this game against the Cardinals at MetLife Stadium.
