AFC. Scouting Report. Tennessee Titans. 4. player. 35. Pick Analysis. South

Another spot that could be intriguing for a guy like Dalton in search of a new team is the Tennessee Titans. While they just paid Ryan Tannehill a bunch of money to be their franchise quarterback, Tennessee could use a high-quality backup to ensure the Titans have what it takes to win the AFC South.

Tannehill won the job over former No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota mid-season last year. He played brilliantly down the stretch and really shined in Arthur Smith’s offense. It wasn’t that Mariota was playing bad for the Titans, he just didn’t give them enough offensive firepower to hang with the Houston Texans in the division. He’s now with the Las Vegas Raiders.

And that leaves a gaping void in the Nashville quarterback room. While Tannehill is a proven veteran, he has never played like he did a season ago for an extended stretch. The other guys in the Titans’ quarterbacking room are Logan Woodside and 2020 NFL Draft pick Cole McDonald out of Hawaii. Dalton should beat out a former AAFer and a dude who used to have dreadlocks.
