5 bold predictions for Arizona Cardinals in 2020
2. Kyler Murray will throw for 5,000 yards
Murray managed to thow for 3,722 yards during his rookie campaign but he’ll take a big jump in year two. Look for the former Oklahoma Sooner to breeze past the 5,000 yard mark in his sophomore season.
The game is definitely going to slow down for Murray in his second campaign. He played much better down the stretch in 2019 than he did in his first few starts. It’s natural to project a ton of internal improvement for any second year quarterback that plays as much as Murray did.
The addition of Hopkins to the receiving corps also makes it a deadly group for him to work with. The trio of Hopkins, Kirk and the ageless wonder that is Larry Fitzgerald will give Murray a ton of options on every passing play.
He also has a coach in Kingsbury that wants to throw the ball as much as possible. As long as Murray stays healthy he’s going to put up big numbers. That might not translate to wins on the field for his team, but it makes him a superior fantasy option in 2020.
