Minnesota traded for D’Angelo Russel, and an off-ball prospect like Anthony Edwards probably makes more sense, but Ball is just too hard to pass up. The lanky frame and wingspan make for one of the more interesting lead guard prospects in recent memory. While Russell is also a lead guard, the two should be able to share the backcourt and help get Karl Anthony-Towns going offensively. It may be a questionable fit, but the Wolves aren’t in a situation to pass on the best player available.
