SEC football just means more, right? Well, that means these 10 players mean quite a bit as their the conference’s best returning players for 2020.

There’s college football, there’s Power 5 football and then there’s SEC football. Whether some fans like it or not, there’s a reason that people say that Saturdays in the SEC just mean more — in many cases, they actually do. When you look at the recent history of the league, it’s abundantly clear that we’re talking about some of the elite programs in the sport.

Just last year, the LSU Tigers represented SEC football as they reeled off one of the most impressive single seasons in history to win the National Championship. Meanwhile, the Alabama Crimson Tide have been a powerhouse for well over a decade under Nick Saban while Kirby Smart has gotten the Georgia Bulldogs consistently in the mix to make the College Football Playoff over the past few years as well.

There are plenty of other elite programs in the mix as well and now even more big names are in the fold. While the Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators and Texas A&M Aggies weren’t slipping under the radar for anyone, we now have Mike Leach at Mississippi State and Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss to add more excitement to the SEC football landscape.

But beyond the prestige and success of the conference, it’s fair to say that the SEC has the most dominant talent pool in college football as well. There’s a reason they dominate the NFL Draft in number of selections by conference every year. And the talent pool just keeps on getting replenished after they lose a crop of players.

That is surely the case for the 2020 season but it’s also true that many of the best talents in the conference never left. With that in mind, let’s dive into the 10 best returning players in the SEC for the upcoming campaign.
