The Dallas Cowboys are poised to get back to the playoffs under new head coach Mike McCarthy, making their games appointment television for most of the country.

Few NFL franchises are more polarizing across the country than the Dallas Cowboys. People will always tune in to watch the Cowboys play whether they are diehard fans or rooting for America’s team to find a way to fail.

The haters had their way last season, with the Cowboys epically underachieving despite possessing one of the most talented rosters in football. Dallas squandered a completely winnable NFC East by going 8-8, missing the playoffs after getting swept by the Philadelphia Eagles.

That failure cost Jason Garrett his job, with Jerry Jones opting to hire one of the most proven head coaches available in Mike McCarthy. The former Packers’ head man, who has a Super Bowl ring on his resume, will be entrusted to guide Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and Amari Cooper to Dallas’ first title since 1996.

The Cowboys’ defense is also an underrated unit, but it did take a hit losing talented performers like Robert Quinn and Byron Jones in free agency. There is still plenty for defensive coordinator Mike Nolan to work with, including talented edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence and linebacker Leighton Vander Esch.

There should still be plenty of nationally televised appearances for the Cowboys, who remain one of the biggest ratings draws in the NFL. Matchups with the Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Minnesota Vikings should draw plenty of eyeballs across the country.

Once the full 2020 NFL schedule is released we will update this section immediately with game times, dates, and broadcast networks. Until then, let’s take a look at the Cowboys’ 2020 home and road opponents.
