The Green Bay Packers schedule is tough with a first-place schedule and four games against the Bears and Vikings in the NFC North.

For the first time in since 2005, Aaron Rodgers would play without Mike McCarthy as his head coach. So, 2019 was poised to bring a lot of change to the team and to Rodgers.

Matt LaFleur was the man tasked with filling McCarthy’s shoes. Prior to getting hired as the team’s head coach, he had been an offensive coordinator under Mike Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans in 2018 and the same position on Sean McVay’s staff in 2017.

Not many people knew what to expect. For starters, LaFleur is just a few years older than Rodgers. Would he gain respect from Rodgers? Would the two clash? Could LaFleur handle the ego of a star quarterback?

Yes, a lot of questions swirled around the hire. Until the season started.

LaFleur and the Packers got off to a 7-1 start, ultimately finishing with a 13-3 final record.

This record was tied with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints, but the Packers were awarded the second seed in the NFC due to tiebreakers.

However, it was still a strange year for the Packers. Some weeks they would score 30 or more, but other weeks they would struggle to get anything going. The defense was huge for the team’s success.

Rodgers and LaFleur handled business in the playoffs up until the conference championship game. The team defeated the Seattle Seahawks at home but got blown out in San Francisco.

Free agency was quiet for the Packers. Although, management did sign offensive tackle Rick Wagner, tight end Mercedes Lewis and wide receiver Devin Funchess. Surely, they will add other offensive players during the draft.

The Packers will look to make another playoff run in 2020. However, the schedule will not be easy. Of course, the bulk of the schedule will be against the NFC North.

Green Bay will also challenge the NFC South, AFC South, and one team from both the NFC West and NFC East.

Some key matchups on the schedule are the 49ers, Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints.

Here’s the full schedule.
