5. Cubs vs. White Sox

As much talk as there is about inter-city rivalries, it seems the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox never get the respect of some of the others throughout the league. That won’t be the case this season when the two teams will square off plenty of times.

These are two teams who could be fairly competitive this season as the White Sox are on the way up, while the Cubs seem to have been on the way down since their 2016 World Series Championship. That could make for some good games in 2020.

It remains to be seen how many games will be played this year, so the jury is still out on how many times the Cubs and White Sox will square up. An approximately 20-minute drive is all that stands between the two teams, so it will make for some easy road trips.

If the league is looking to limit air travel as much as possible, then the Cubs and White Sox could play more than most teams in baseball. Will the rivalry get as heated as the Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals? That remains to be seen.

One thing the teams will not lack is star power. The Cubs present the likes of Kris Bryant, while the White Sox can counter with Jose Abreu. This will definitely be an attractive matchup for many national television broadcasts in 2020.
