Las Vegas Raiders: vs. Kansas City Chiefs

It has taken a while, but the Raiders are finally headed to Sin City. Assuming construction on their new stadium isn’t impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, the Raiders are set to start the 2020 season in Las Vegas.

It was certainly an interesting year for the Raiders, who started 6-4 and appeared positioned for a wild card spot before getting blown out in New York by the Jets. That loss sent the Raiders spiraling out of the playoffs and created questions about the team’s future at quarterback.

Despite being linked to Tom Brady early in the offseason, Las Vegas opted to stick with Derek Carr, signing Marcus Mariota to be his backup. The Raiders also made a few splashes in free agency, including the addition of Cory Littleton to bolster the linebacking corps.

With the Raiders clearly looking like the second-best team in the division, they have to make a statement against the Kansas City Chiefs. The rivalry between the Chiefs and Raiders is one of the most underrated in football and it should tick up a notch in Las Vegas.

It would be quite the statement for the Raiders to knock off the Chiefs at home. A win like that would certainly fire up the new fan base in Las Vegas and set the Raiders up for a potential run at the AFC West crown.
