Game of the Week: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints

Preview of the NFC Championship Game? Possibly. New Orleans has arguably been the best team in the NFC each of the past two seasons, only to lose in brutal fashion come January. Back with an even better supporting cast around Drew Brees, New Orleans might have one last shot at glory before things begin to need a retooling.

As for the Buccaneers, veteran head coach Bruce Arians is hoping to finally reach the Super Bowl after coming so close with the Arizona Cardinals in 2015. Tampa Bay had arguably the league’s best offseason in nabbing Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, and both will make their debut in Pewter taking on the Saints.

This game is early, but it could go a long way towards deciding who wins the NFC South and subsequently, who has home-field advantage in the playoffs. Both are the odds-on favorites to go deep into January, and so a postseason matchup is certainly possible. Brees vs. Brady. Tampa Bay and New Orleans. Who has the advantage? Whoever is home.

In this one, the Bucs will need to win at the noisy Superdome.
