Seattle Seahawks 2020 schedule release: Games, dates and times
The Seattle Seahawks were a win away from a division title in 2019, making them a big playoff threat in the NFL next season.
While most experts consider the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens among the NFL’s model franchises, the Seattle Seahawks don’t get enough credit for their consistent success. Under the tandem of head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Russell Wilson Seattle has developed into a proven winner in the NFC.
That trend continued last season when the Seahawks went 11-5 and made the playoffs as a wild card. Seattle was inches away from clinching the NFC West title in the final game of the regular season, but Jacob Hollister was stopped just shy of the goal line against the San Francisco 49ers.
The playoffs were a mixed bag for Seattle, which won a road game in Philadelphia after Carson Wentz got hurt before falling in the Divisional Round at Lambeau Field to the Green Bay Packers. The Seahawks still maintain a strong core and are actively tweaking their roster to try and build a team capable of taking down the 49ers in 2020.
Finding a way to win the NFC West should be critical for Seattle, which has one of the best home-field advantages in the NFL. A division title would ensure that playoff opponents would have to deal with the 12th man at CenturyLink Field, one of the loudest crowds in football.
The Seahawks will also have to deal with a challenging schedule thanks to matchups with both East divisions this season. Games against the 49ers, New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and Minnesota Vikings should prove to be big contests for Seattle.
When the full 2020 NFL schedule is released this post will be updated immediately with game dates, times, and broadcast information. In the meantime, let’s look at the home and road opponents for Seattle in 2020.
