2. Calais Campbell

In the modern NFL, defensive lineman are typically classified as either edge rushers or run stuffers. Campbell is the rare defensive end who is proficient in both aspects of the game.

That makes him the perfect offseaosn acquisition for Harbaugh’s defense. They needed to get better at both facets of their defensive line play. Campbell has a chance to provide them double-digit sacks while also making them better at the point of attack.

Look for him to play significant snaps at both end and tackle in 2020. He’s got the strength and power to knife into the opposing backfield from either spot. Campbell doesn’t have elite speed off the edge, but that hasn’t stopped him from being a productive sack artist during his distinguished career.

The key for the Ravens will be to make sure they don’t overuse Campbell during the regular season. He’ll be 34 when September rolls around. They’ll need to pick their spots with the talented lineman early in the regular season. They need him to be at his best when the games matter the most.
