Las Vegas Raiders 2020 schedule predictions: Picking every game
Weeks 5-8
Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden used the offseason to get faster, not only to catch up to the Super Bowl Champions but in part trying to catch up to them. Unfortunately, they’re not in a position to be competitive with the champs. The offense will take time to get going and struggle against better defenses, and the defense will struggle with speed and against good quarterbacks. The Chiefs have both, and it shows.
Jon Gruden is amped up for a matchup with his former ball club and against a Hall of Fame quarterback in Tom Brady. The defense plays an excellent, attacking style football game and makes life difficult for the new-look Bucs. The Raiders’ offense takes advantage of a bad Tampa Bay defense, and Las Vegas pulls out a big win.
A battle of two teams who often have lofty expectations of themselves but fail to deliver more times than not. In this one, a superior Browns offense is able to put points on the board at will. But, the game is closer than it should be because despite their talent advantage, the defense still gives up multiple big plays to the Raiders’ offense. The Browns still win, but it’s close.
