Final record: 9-7

This season will certainly be an interesting one for the Vikings, who attempted to rebuild on the fly this offseason. Having a boatload of draft capital certainly helped, but there is no question that this team will have a tougher go of it than the 2019 Vikings did.

Kirk Cousins is still around, but his guaranteed contract meant that Minnesota had to part with talented players like Everson Griffen, Stefon Diggs, Trae Waynes, and Xavier Rhodes. A lot of those players were replaced in the draft, but young talent needs time to develop.

The one positive for the Vikings is that Dalvin Cook is healthy and should help them control the clock behind a good offensive line. Using Cook effectively will help the Vikings keep some of the potent offenses they face off the field, increasing their odds of winning.

At the end of the day, a 9-7 record in the NFC should have the Vikings right in the thick of the playoff hunt. Minnesota will fall short, however, due to dropping far too many tiebreakers against opponents, they would have to beat out in the wild card picture.
