Pittsburgh Steelers 2020 schedule predictions: Picking every game
By Nick Villano
Weeks 9-12
The Steelers welcome Joe Burrow to Heinz Field for the first time in his career. The Ohio boy looks to make a name for himself by beating the team Cincinnati could never overcome. Since 2010, the Steelers are 18-3 against the Bengals.
Burrow is nowhere near enough, as a healthy dose of James Connor (120 yards, two touchdowns) keeps them out of the game early.
Ben Roethlisberger throws for three touchdowns, and he plays so well that Rudolph even gets the final snap for the kneel down.
The Steelers could win this by more, but why? Fantasy owners won’t like it, because it’s going to be a very balanced offense, with lots of Jaylen Samuels and Chase Claypool.
The Jaguars are going to be very bad this season. So bad, not even Gardner Minshew can save them. It will be the most boring game of the year, and the Steelers just kind of go through the motions to a win.
The Steelers trade wins with the Baltimore Ravens almost every single year. It doesn’t matter the venue, the players, the coaches or the storylines. The Ravens actually knocked the Steelers out of playoff contention last season when they beat them at home.
A Ravens defense that added Derek Wolfe, Calais Campbell and Patrick Queen this offseason is going to look amazing. In a defensive matchup, the Ravens squeak by despite a late drive by the Steelers that ends in the red zone.
The Washington Redskins still have a long way to go, even with Ron Rivera now running things. Dwayne Haskins has to show something, but against this secondary, it’s not the right situation. The Steelers shut him down, and Roethlisberger takes advantage of some short fields.
If Landon Collins can stay healthy long enough to play in this game, he still won’t be enough to carry the secondary. The Steelers roll at home and look like the dominant team they hope to be.
