Pittsburgh Steelers 2020 schedule predictions: Picking every game
By Nick Villano
Weeks 13-16
If any team is able to figure out the Buffalo Bills offense, it’s the Steelers. They prepare for Lamar Jackson twice a year, so Josh Allen’s abilities won’t scare them too much. However, every year the Steelers have one of those games where they just shoot themselves in the foot over and over again.
A silly Ben Roethlisberger throw is intercepted by Tre’Davious White, who runs it in for a score. A fumble is recovered in the Steelers end zone. It’s just not their day, and their comeback effort comes up short.
This one is fun. The Bengals see their first-overall pick really come out of his shell, as Joe Burrow throws for 350 yards and three touchdowns. The Steelers secondary doesn’t have its best day, but the Steelers receivers are there to pick up the slack.
JuJu Smith-Schuster has his best game of the season (189 yards, two touchdowns) and Roethlisberger shows the kid he still has time until he’s the man in the division.
This is probably the last time Philip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger face off, unless they both make the playoffs. Rivers hits an extra gear, knowing this is the last time he’s going up against his more successful draft mates (Eli Manning retired this year). Rivers throws for three touchdowns, including an 63-yard bomb to T.Y. Hilton.
Roethlisberger doesn’t have a bad game, but he watches one of the last great games of Rivers’ career.
The struggles of the Cleveland Browns continues against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The past two seasons, they’re survived to get a tie and a win in four matchups. This season it’s not meant to be, as the Pittsburgh Steelers take another easy win here. We think the Browns will have a better season than last year, but the Steelers just get it done.
