5. Jordan rocking to…Kenny Lattimore??

For some NBA players, a good pregame mix is as much a part of their game-day routines as anything. The right pump-up songs can get a player in the perfect mindset to go out and dominate the competition.

Obviously things were a little different during MJ’s era, but even with Walkmans and old-school head phones, finding the right album to listen to before games was probably key for a lot of these guys. You’d most likely guess they’d be listening to rap or rock to get fired up beforehand.

Apparently Michael Jordan wasn’t one of those guys though, because the man was rocking to unreleased Kenny Lattimore before games.

Now, no disrespect for Mr. Lattimore, but he’s not exactly what you would consider pregame pump-up music. It just goes to show how insanely competitive Jordan was that he could listen to Kenny Lattimore before games and still go out and play with that kind of tenacity.

I mean, seriously. Jiving to such relaxing music before going out and decimating the opposition is some serial killer ish.
