America’s Team is the nickname for the Dallas Cowboys. Around since 1960, who deserves to make the team’s all-time Mount Rushmore?

Whether you love them or despise them, the Dallas Cowboys have had many great players play for them. Although, the last roughly 20 years have not been kind.

The last time the Cowboys won the Super Bowl was 1995. That year also marks the last time they made it past the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Back then, Jimmy Johnson was leading the likes of Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, and Michael Irvin to Super Bowl wins.

Before them, Tom Landry made the Cowboys into what they are today, an iconic franchise. Coaching the team from 1960-88, he won two Super Bowls and compiled 250 regular-season wins.

The Mount Rushmore features the four best players in team history. However, there were some honorable mentions that just missed the cut.

Randy White was one of the franchise’s best defensive players. Playing from 1975 to 1988, he was a mainstay on the defensive line and constantly made plays in the backfield. He was named to nine Pro Bowls and was an All-Pro seven times.

Michael Irvin was a close call as well. During the peak of the club’s success, he was a key member to that juggernaut offense with Aikman and Smith. The Hall of Fame receiver was named to five Pro Bowls and won three Super Bowls.

Now, who were the four players named to this edition of the Cowboys all-time Mount Rushmore?
