4. Jason Peters – Denver Broncos

When it comes to a player of Jason Peters‘ magnitude, there are a number of teams that would make sense. Even at age 38, Peters is still one of the most productive tackles in the game. The nine-time pro bowler would bring a mountain of experience and leadership to any team.

A few teams come to mind right off the bat like the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns. Both the Jets and Browns used first-round picks on left tackles Mekhi Becton and Jedrick Wills Jr. Peters could step in for one year and make the transition easier for the rookies in a mentor role. If both players were ready for left tackle week one, Peters would be an excellent candidate for the right side as well and move to left in a pinch if needed.

As the Jets and Browns sound great, the team that could use him the most is the Denver Broncos. The Broncos used the draft to load second year quarterback, Drew Lock, up with weapons. Drafting Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler with back to back picks to pair with Courtland Sutton is doing right by him. Adding Melvin Gordon to already an established runner in Phillip Lindsay has loaded Lock up with more than enough weapons.

Adding Peters to left tackle would be giving Lock all the tools he would ever need in his second year. Not only having a bevy of playmakers on the offense but security that the blindside is protected would be huge. With the loss of Connor McGovern in free agency, Peters can instill that leadership and accountability to the offensive line.
