Ben Roethlisberger trimmed his beard to celebrate his long-awaited workout with JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner

Ben Roethlisberger has clearly had enough of people making fun of his quarantine beard. With trolls out there constantly saying he looks like a caveman, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback just dropped a proverbial hammer via the Pittsburgh Steelers’ official Twitter account.

Folks, Big Ben has trimmed his beard and the rugged, mountain-man looks is no longer in town. Instead, we now have a veteran signal caller who looks like he means business, as he was also filmed getting in a training session with JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner.

In case you missed it in the video above, Roethlisberger is seen at around the :31 mark sporting his new look. Not only did Roethlisberger make the noticeable change with his facial hair, but it looks like he got a pretty sweet fade as well.

To add to the excitement in the clip, Smith-Schuster is seeing saying, ‘he’s back’ after catching some passes from his quarterback. After No. 7 underwent elbow surgery and missed all but two games in 2019, the anticipation for his return has been through the roof.

His loyal supporters have been waiting to see him back in action, even if it means getting on the practice field and having some of his teammates run routes for him. With more than 56,000 yards and 363 touchdowns to his name, Roethlisberger is hoping to remind everyone in the league just how great of a player he is.

Now, he’s got the confidence of a new look and a healthy elbow to bring to the table. It may have just been a short clip that was posted to social media, but it feels like good times are on their way back to the Steel City.
