3. Miles Sanders

Sanders played well enough during his rookie season to make Jordan Howard expendable in the offseason. The versatile running back needs to take another step forward in his sophomore campaign to elevate his offseason.

It will be very interesting to see how the coaching staff splits up the rushing workload in 2020. Sanders and Howard formed a pretty even timeshare last season. It’s safe to assume that Sanders is going to experience a significant uptick in his carries without Howard in the fold.

The key for the former Penn State standout will be to increase his efficiency and workload at the same time. His 4.6 yards per carry average from last season was fine, but getting the average closer to five yards per carry would make him a much bigger threat for opposing defenses.

Sanders isn’t going to lead the league in rushing, but every carry he takes helps keep Carson Wentz healthy. A durable and productive campaign from Sanders will go a long way towards helping the Eagles make a lengthy postseason run.
