2. Eric Reid

Adding Eric Reid as a safety is a move the Redskins should not pass up on. Keep Landon Collins at strong safety, move Reid to free safety and the Redskins have a two-headed monster. The defensive line is set, and at corner they moved on from Josh Norman and added cornerbacks Ronald Darby and Kendall Fuller.

What better way to support those acquisitions than by making sure they have help behind them?

With Reid, he has familiarity and fondness for Rivera. The two were with each other in Carolina the past two seasons. Reid needs a new home and Rivera could use someone in the secondary as insurance. Plus, Reid has been successful in Rivera’s system and is a dynamic fit. Reid is a versatile defensive back who can serve as someone who can play close to the line of scrimmage to stop the run or drop back in coverage.

Reid can do whatever the coach needs and he does it well. This is why the Redskins need him to win in 2020.
