3. Daniel Jones

Jones produced some moments of brilliance for the Giants in 2019, but his overall body of work was still mediocre at best. He will need to progress significantly in 2020 if New York is going to get anywhere near a playoff berth.

The former Duke standout really needs to learn how to push the ball further down the field to help elevate his offense. He only averaged 6.6 yards per attempt a season ago. That number isn’t anywhere near what a quarterback should produce with Saquon Barkley at his disposal.

Fans of Jones will point to his touchdown to interception ratio of 2:1 as a sign of incredible promise. The problem is Jones also fumbled the ball 18 times in 2019. That caused him to be one of the most turnover prone quarterbacks in the league not named Jameis Winston.

There seems to be a widely held belief amongst Giants fans that Jones is definitely going to be their quarterback of the present and future. The reality is that he hasn’t proven enough to be given that sort of status yet. It shouldn’t shock anyone if Jones takes a step back in the court of public opinion in 2020.
