2. Ryan Tannehill

The Titans would not have made a deep playoff run without Tannehill’s insertion into the starting lineup last season. His efficient play at quarterback gave their offense the ability to bludgeon opponents to death with their ground game.

It’s still dangerous to bet on his 10 regular season games during the 2019 season to outweigh the rest of his career. There’s a reason why the Dolphins were happy to let Tannehill go. He’s not the sort of quarterback who elevates the play of those around him on a regular basis.

Admittedly, the Titans offense sets him up to get the most possible out of his talent. Derrick Henry will continue to carry a heavy load at running back. The presence of dynamic wide receivers like A.J. Brown on the outside will allow short Tannehill passes to turn into long gains.

There’s still a strong chance that his career high completion percentage of 70.3% from a season ago will regress to the mid-60s. Tannehill isn’t going to fall off a cliff this year, but he may not reproduce the magic he cast on opponents in 2019. He’s a lot more likely to play like a league average starter than anything approximating a Pro Bowler.
