12. Spend the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament in Las Vegas

Everyone loves March Madness, but the savvy fans will tell you the best part of the NCAA Tournament is the first weekend. With four games at a time on Thursday and Friday as well as games throughout the weekend, March Madness gets truly wacky over the first four days.

A ton of money is wagered on the NCAA Tournament, whether it is through bracket pools or other means, but no place does the dance better than Las Vegas. The strip’s sportsbooks are the place to be to check out all the action in style.

All of the games are displayed on massive screens and there is food and drinks abound. Huge lounge chairs are set up in these areas to allow fans to watch the games and head to nearby betting windows to lay down their wagers on the latest action.

Going to Las Vegas means being ready to throw around some money and enjoy the show, and the NCAA Tournament is the perfect event to see in Las Vegas. Instead of being limited to watching one game at a time in an arena or on your couch, you can watch all the games at once on massive screens while eating and gambling to your heart’s content.

The NCAA will never officially acknowledge how important it is to Las Vegas, but that is of no concern for us. Bucket listers need to make it a point to get out to Sin City for the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament as soon as humanly possible.
