2. Attend a game at Cameron Indoor Stadium

With all due respect to college basketball blue bloods like UCLA and Kentucky, the most recognizable name in college basketball today is Duke. The Blue Devils’ colors, brand and tradition have made them some of the most popular villains in sports today.

The bucket list experience wouldn’t be complete without a trip down to Durham to see how crazy Duke fans go for their Blue Devils. That means getting tickets to Cameron Indoor Stadium to see Mike Krzyzewski coach up the latest crop of top-flight players to wear Duke blue.

Cameron Indoor first opened in 1939 and has been the home of Duke’s basketball program ever since. Named for longtime Duke coach and athletic director Eddie Cameron, the arena took on a life of its own when the Cameron Crazies first took root in the mid-80s.

The Cameron Crazies is the name of the Blue Devils’ student section and is filled with fans who often paint their bodies blue and white as well as wear crazy outfits. The group often directs their rage at visiting players and coaches, making Duke games a madhouse against top teams.

Seeing all of this in person, as well as catching some real top-flight basketball, makes a trip to Cameron Indoor a must on the bucket list. It would take something really special to top it and that is exactly what awaits at No. 1.
