Coach O running during the pandemic is our motivation to get fit
By John Buhler
Nothing can hold the Tiger back that is head football coach Ed Orgeron.
There are so many reasons Ed Orgeron is better than you. He is the reigning national championship head coach of the LSU Tigers and is one of the greatest recruiters college football has ever seen.
With his passion and persistence in dominating life, there is a reason everyone loves Coach O. Just look at him run shirtless just the other day.
Even though he’s in his late 50s and probably lacking any semblance of cartilage in his knees, Orgeron putting in the work on the running trails is all the motivation you need to get your act together to take finally care of yourself during this global pandemic.
He could be staying home and eating all sorts of bad food like the rest of us. No, he’s putting in the work, and so should you!
Ed Orgeron is inspiring us all to get back in shape, one stride at a time.
From his days as a defensive line coach in the early 1990s, Orgeron has always been a fan of running. He’d use it as a way of helping the big uglies he’s working within the trenches lose some unnecessary weight and get into shape. Relentless in everything he does, no wonder he has captivated the college football landscape since getting his dream job full-time in 2017.
Thus far in this pandemic, Orgeron has told us to be safe and that we need football back in our lives. For a guy who may never have another season as magical as the one he just experienced, Coach O is about putting in the work to be great, whether that’s on the recruiting trails or on the running trails. This is why he is a living legend among us. What did we do to deserve him?
So put down the bag of chips, put on your purple track shorts and go run for a bit like Coach O.
