17. Groot
Groot is a creature of very few words, which is fine given the fact that he is one tree alien many would think twice about messing with, especially in a fight. The Guardian of the Galaxy has proven time and time again that he is the heart and soul of that franchise.
The fans love him, whether it’s the adorable Baby Groot dancing to some funky tunes or teenage Groot using bad language words. The guy’s only downfall is he is a bit slow, which is understandable given the fact he is still a tree after all, and communication with the Oaked out individual seems like it takes a bit to master.
He has a heart of gold, and it takes a lot to get Groot angry, and if that happens, running in the opposite direction as if caught on fire would be the best advice to take. Among his many greatest hits, branching a group of Ronan’s men and sacrificing his arm to create the ax that chopped off the Mad Titans massive purple dome are the ones worth mentioning. And this leaf ridden extraterrestrial won’t hesitate to cut off a body part if it means saving his friends. His back and forth with everyone is excellent, but his interactions with his partner in crime, Rocket Raccoon, are, without a doubt, a gut-busting good time.
