Justin Fields has the skill set to excel immediately in the NFL.

Justin Fields is firmly in the conversation to be the first-overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Ohio State star is coming off a 2019 season that saw him finish third in the Heisman Trophy voting in his first season with the Buckeyes after transferring from Georgia.

His extremely promising first season in Columbus has put Fields in competition with Clemson phenom Trevor Lawrence to be the top pick in 2021.

It is a position Fields fully deserves to be in. His skill set is one that is perfectly suited to the modern-day NFL, which is shifting towards quarterbacks who can make things happen on the ground as well as in the passing game.

Fields threw for 3,273 yards and 41 touchdowns with just three interceptions while adding 484 yards and 10 touchdowns as a runner.

He has the arm to make all the throws and exhibits tremendous touch. Fields is exceedingly poised for a player of his relative inexperience and can make NFL throws with pressure in his face and while on the move.

An intelligent runner with the speed to beat defenders to the corner, Fields has the potential to make any NFL team better and here we look at five he could instantly turn around.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are expected to be in contention for the number one overall pick, having shed the majority of the defensive talent that helped them reach the AFC Championship game back in the 2017 season.

Indeed, much of the conversation surrounding the Jaguars in the offseason has centered around whether they are indeed tanking for Trevor Lawrence.

But Fields could have the same transformative impact on the Jaguars offense that most anticipate Lawrence would have.

The Jaguars offense operated at its best in 2019 when Gardner Minshew was at the helm and making spectacular plays with his legs as well as his arm.

Minshew will hope to make his case to be the long-term starter for the Jaguars with a strong 2020 season but his upside is not as high as that of Fields.

Fields would have a talented young receiving corps at his disposal were he to land in Jacksonville. An impressive thrower to every level, the threat of Fields on designed runs and quarterback rollouts added to the danger posed by him throwing downfield to the likes of D.J. Chark, Dede Westbrook and Laviska Shenault should be a combination that gives the Jaguars a dynamic and multi-faceted attack that can spearhead a revival in north Florida.
